About the Author
Dr. Lipi Ghosh is a historian with specialisation in Southeast Asian studies. She has obtained her M.A, and Ph.D. degrees in History from the University of Calcutta. Currently she is a Reader (Associate Prof.) in the Department of South and Southeast Asian Studies, University of Calcutta.
